The home boasts high insulation values throughout, ensuring optimal thermal performance. Triple glazing enhances energy efficiency, providing a comfortable and well-protected living environment.

To ensure a constant flow of filtered fresh air and efficient moisture extraction, two STIEBEL ELTRON mechanical ventilation systems were installed. These systems, designed by STIEBEL ELTRON and implemented by Optum, utilise heat recovery to minimise heat losses from the home.

At the heart of the home's heating, cooling, and hot water needs is a Stiebel Eltron air-to-water heat pump—the WPL A 07—a high-temperature heat pump efficiently catering to the 270 sq meter home. Collaborating with STIEBEL'S design team, the system incorporates an outdoor sensor for precise temperature control, maintaining a consistent and comfortable ambience.

The home features underfloor heating in concrete floors and Messana Active ceiling panels in bedrooms. The latter offers quicker response times and silent operation, ensuring a constant and consistent temperature without airflow or dust.

Room-specific Heatmiser neostats allow personalised temperature control. The STIEBEL ELTRON system, accessible through an Internet Service Gateway (ISG), provides remote monitoring and adjustments for optimal efficiency. The Heatmiser neostats can also be controlled via a user-friendly app on smartphones or tablets.

The integrated heating, cooling, hot water, and ventilation system maintains the home at 22 degrees in winter, costing an average of $200-225 per month. In summer, the cost of hot water and cooling averages around $150 per month.

Every aspect of the heating, cooling, hot water, and ventilation systems was meticulously designed to align with the owners' lifestyle, ensuring both efficiency and user-friendly adaptability.
