FAQ
The WWK 222H and WWK 302H hot water heat pumps have a smart element situated in the top of the hot water cylinder. This smart element will switch on along with the heat pump function when a high volume of hot water is drawn off from the hot water tank. It assists the heat pump to heat approximately the top 80 litres of the tank, aiding hot water recovery for high-demand situations.
The WWK 222H and WWK 302H hot water heat pumps have an active defrost function that switches on when the frost monitor detects a build-up of hoar frost at the evaporator. When frost is detected, the fan switches off but the compressor keeps running. Hot vapor is directed to the evaporator while the condenser is shut off, allowing the hot gas to actively defrost the evaporator.
Yes. The WWK 222H and WWK 302H heat pumps are equipped with smart elements. These models have a 1.7 kW element that, when engaged, will heat approximately the top 80 litres of the tank.
The heat pumps have an active defrost function that can control any icing that occurs at lower air temperatures. The active defrost function removes hoar frost that forms at the evaporator and then reverts back to hot water generation mode.
2.3 Amps on 240 Volts.
Our heat pumps have an encased compressor design to reduce noise. They operate at approximately 45 dB. Heat pumps do make a sound when they are operating, which is the sound of the compressor and fan. The noise level depends on several factors, so we encourage customers to read the operating and installation guide and take into account the positioning of the heat pump when installing.
The condensate drain and the top of the condensate pan should be checked at least monthly to remove any blockages that may have occurred due to debris.
220 litres.
302 litres.
Yes. These heat pumps have been designed to be installed either indoors or outdoors. A clear space of 13 m3 is required for indoor installations to allow for the cold air from the refrigeration system to diffuse.
The WWK range of hot water heat pumps are not designed for room heating applications. STIEBEL ELTRON has a range of air source hydronic heat pumps and geothermal hydronic heat pumps designed for hydronic heating.
